When is the lavender in bloom?

Lavender begins to bloom at the end of June and continues until mid-July.

When is the lavender harvested?

Depending on the variety, we will harvest the lavender for bundles in mid-to-late July. However, a portion of lavender will be left to go to flower- meaning there will be beautiful, purple, flowering fields into August.

​Do my Brys Estate Wine Club discounts apply to online orders at the Secret Garden?

No. Brys Estate Wine club discounts apply only to products purchased in person at the Brys Estate Tasting Room or the Secret Garden Gift Shop.

Can we walk to the Secret Garden from the Brys Estate tasting room?

It is possible, but we suggest driving as the driveway is long, winding, downhill, and there is no sidewalk or trail.

Is alcohol served at the Secret Garden?

We served canned Brys Estate hard apple cider from our cooler. We invite you to visit the beautiful Brys Estate Tasting Room if you'd like to enjoy glasses of wine.

Why are some lavender plants bigger than the others?

Some varieties grow larger than others, but most of the time the larger plants are simply older than the others.

Is the Secret Garden kid friendly?

Absolutely! With an extensive collection of lavender kids pillows, plenty of ice cream, and lots of room to run around, this is the perfect place to take the whole family

Is the Secret Garden pet friendly?

We welcome your furry companions! We simply ask that pets stay out of the gift shop, remain leashed and are appropriately cleaned up after during their visit.

Can I enjoy my picnic at the Secret Garden?

Yes! Bring your packed lunch down to the Secret Garden to enjoy while looking out over the rolling fields of lavender. We simply ask that you help keep the Secret Garden as clean and beautiful as possible by cleaning up properly.

Under which conditions does lavender grow?

Lavender is a fairly hardy plant, needing only a few key factor to ensure success: 1. Sandy soil  2. Full sun (at least 6 hours) 3. Minimal water 4. Proper pruning ​

Can I have my wedding ceremony/reception at the Secret Garden?

At this time we are not permitted to host weddings or related events on our property due to township regulations.
